Full Bill

WHEREAS, Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development is the owner of land in Tinicum Township, Delaware County and the City of Philadelphia, in the vicinity of Philadelphia International Airport, more specifically described in Exhibit "A";

WHEREAS, the City seeks to purchase the Property; now, therefore

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property and the Director of Commerce are hereby authorized to acquire on behalf of the City land known as the Orange Line located in Tinicum Township, Delaware County and the City of Philadelphia, in the vicinity of Philadelphia International Airport, more specifically described in Exhibit “A.”

SECTION 2. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City of Philadelphia and carry out the purposes for this Ordinance.

Legal Description

Orange Line Parcel

Land is the “Orange Line”, situate, lying and being in the Township of Tinicum, County of Delaware and the City and County of Philadelphia, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shown on the Comprehensive Plan showing former and present Railroad Facilities and New Roadways in the vicinity of Philadelphia International Airport, Plan made for the Department of Commerce, prepared by Israel Zeitz, Surveyor & Regulator of the Third Survey District, dated February 9, 1973, revised April 6, 1987 by Urban Engineers, Inc. for the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development [UNRECORDED].

BEING AS TO PART the same premises which Consolidated Rail Corporation, by Deed dated 12/15/1987 and recorded 10/09/1997 in Delaware County at Record Book Volume 1638 page 790, granted and conveyed unto Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, in fee.
