THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Chapter 16-900 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

CHAPTER 16-900. PHILADELPHIA WORKFORCE HOUSING OPPORTUNITY ZONES.

§ 16-901. Definitions.

(1)

In this Chapter the following definitions shall apply:

(a)

Affordable Workforce [Homeownership] Housing.

ousing affordable to households whose income is between 80% and 120% of Area Median Income as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

§ 16-902. Designation of Zones.

(1)

The areas of the City generally known as follows shall be designated as Philadelphia Affordable Workforce Housing Opportunity Zones:

(a)

Reserved.

§ 16-903. Authorization to Dispose of Publicly-Owned Property for Nominal Consideration.

(1)

Publicly owned properties in designated Philadelphia Affordable Workforce Housing Opportunity Zones shall be available for disposition for nominal consideration for the development of Affordable Workforce [Homeownership] Housing as defined in § 16-901(a), upon approval by ordinance.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
