Acknowledging and recognizing The Philadelphia Music & Arts Festival, "Philly Music Fest", an event that highlights the food, beer and arts of Philadelphia, taking place September 22nd through September 23rd at World Cafe Live Philadelphia.

WHEREAS, Philly Music Fest is a two-day festival that offers the convergence of local chefs, local craft beer, local distilleries as well as local artists; and

WHEREAS, The main objective of the Festival is to “support your scene” and use music to bring the Philadelphia community together; and

WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Music & Arts Festival is a non-profit organization donating the proceeds of the Philly Music Fest to local charities; and

WHEREAS, Supporters of Philly Music Fest include companies from across various sectors who recognize Philly as a thriving food, music and arts scene; and

WHEREAS, Philly has been recognized for its booming food scene having been honored as “One of America’s Best Food Cities” by The Washington Post and “America’s Next Great Food City” by Travel + Leisure; and

WHEREAS, Philly has a thriving music scene as we have hosted various music events including the Made in America Festival, the XPoNential Music Festival, Wawa Welcome America, among others; and

WHEREAS, Philly Music Fest showcases our City’s dynamic music, food and craft beer scene; and

WHEREAS, We look forward to Philly Music Fest and are very proud of this collaboration of Philadelphia’s chefs, artists, and distilleries who are coming together to showcase what a unique, vibrant, music, arts and food scene we have; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby acknowledges and recognizes The Philadelphia Music & Arts Festival, “Philly Music Fest”, an event that highlights the food, beer and arts of Philadelphia, taking place September 22nd through September 23rd at World Cafe Live Philadelphia.
