Full Bill

WHEREAS, Initially produced in 1974, Best of Philly is Philadelphia Magazine’s annual compilation of everything that is new, fantastic and special in Philadelphia; and

WHEREAS, The editors of Philadelphia Magazine evaluate each potential contender for Best of Philly and winners are chosen by the editorial staff with select categories being voted on by the public; and

WHEREAS, The Best of Philly categories vary from year to year as they reflect what’s going on in our changing City and world; and

WHEREAS, Best of Philly entices tourists and residents, alike, to frequent Philadelphia restaurants, bars, shops, and more that they may not have tried before; and

WHEREAS, This year’s winners ranged from “Best Chef” to “Best Flower Delivery” to “Best Independent Bookstore”; and

WHEREAS, There are over 100 Best of Philly 2017 winners with the majority of the winners being located in Philadelphia; and

WHEREAS, Philadelphia is home to a thriving food and shopping scene having been recognized as “One of the Top 7 U.S. Destinations to Visit in 2017” by Travel + Leisure; and

WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia is proud of its diverse and ever-evolving food, arts, shopping and music scene and congratulates all Philadelphian’s who were winners of the Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly 2017; now, therefore, be it:

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby honors and congratulates the winners of the Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly 2017.
