Recognizing, honoring and congratulating the 2017 Philadelphia Business Journal's Women of Distinction for their hard work and dedication to excellence in their representation of their respective industries and the City of Philadelphia.

WHEREAS, Each year the Philadelphia Business Journal publishes a Women of Distinction class to highlight influential businesswomen in our region; and

WHEREAS, This year’s Women of Distinction class have demonstrated professional achievement, dedication to mentorship and community involvement; and

WHEREAS, This year alone, the Business Journal received 150 nominations and only 30 women were selected, thus this year’s honorees represent a truly exceptional class of women representing Philadelphia’s incredibly diverse and dynamic business environment; and

WHEREAS, Most of Philadelphia’s key industries are represented throughout this year’s Women of Distinction class, including engineering, banking, finance, law, health care, education, and others; and

WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia honors and congratulates this year’s honorees and admires the hard work and dedication of these Philadelphia leaders in the many diverse and vital industries that they represent; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby recognizes, honors and congratulates the 2017 Philadelphia Business Journal’s Women of Distinction for their hard work and dedication to excellence in their representation of their respective industries and the City of Philadelphia.
