Amending Chapter 19-1800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "School Tax Authorization," to authorize the Board of Education to impose a real estate tax for the School District of Philadelphia, under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Chapter 19-1800 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§ 19-1801. Authorization of Tax.

For tax year 2016 [and thereafter,]

through tax year 2018,

the Tax Rate shall be 0.7681%, or seventy-six and eighty-one hundredths cents per one hundred dollars ($100) of Net Taxable Value.

For tax year 2019 and thereafter, the Tax Rate shall be 0.8521%, or eighty-five and twenty-one one-hundredths cents per one hundred dollars ($100) of Net Taxable Value.
