WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter appointed and Council confirmed the Honorable Phyllis W. Beck as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve in the remaining portion of a term that ended November 16, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter appointed and Council confirmed Judge Beck as a member of the Board to serve in a term that ended November 16, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Mayor James F. Kenney has nominated Judge Beck for re-appointment as a member of the Board of Ethics to serve in the term that ends November 16, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-806 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Board of Ethics; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Judge Phyllis W. Beck as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2022.
