Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Cahillites, led by Head Coach Matt Griffin, finished with a record of 26-5; USA Today PA Coach of the Year, and the Sports Writers 6A Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS, The Varsity Basketball Program at Roman Catholic High School finished 28 in the country by MaxPreps; and

WHEREAS, The Cahillites defeated Abraham Lincoln School out of Philadelphia to win the State Championship by a score of 92-80 on March 24, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Based on their past performance it is safe to assume that the Cahillites from Roman Catholic High School Basketball Team will only get better with time; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate Roman Catholic High School Boys Basketball Team on winning the 2018 PIAA State AAAAAA Championship and The Philadelphia Catholic League.
