THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Chapter 15-600 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§15-606. Philadelphia Pre-K Parks and Playgrounds.

(1) All Parks and Playgrounds to be renovated within one-half mile from a provider which is participating in the Philadelphia Pre-K initiative, shall at a minimum meet the standards set forth by Title 55 of the Pennsylvania Code § 3270.62 and § 3270.102b.

SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect for any Parks and Playground renovation not yet out to bid for construction beginning July 1, 2018.
