Full Bill

WHEREAS, Steven Scott Bradley, a tireless public servant and corporate citizen, and has received Maternity Care Coalition’s 2019 Driving Fatherhood Community Leader Award due to the important role he plays in advancing fatherhood locally, regionally, and nationally; and

WHEREAS, The Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania native received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Fisk University. He is a 2013 graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at the Community College of Philadelphia, and has participated in the prestigious International Economics Studies Program in London, England; and

WHEREAS, Steven is the Founder, President, and CEO of Bradley & Bradley Associates, Inc., a commercial insurance and risk management firm founded in Philadelphia in 2001. Steven is a 30-year veteran in the insurance industry and serves on a combined 24 boards and commissions. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of The African-American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ, and DE. He is a mentor to young men in his community, an alumnus of Early Head Start, and an advocate for educational and economic equity; and

WHEREAS, As a result of Steven’s business relationships and civic engagement activities, he was the recipient of the 2017 Economic Development Champion Award presented by the Philadelphia Business Journal, the 2015 Urban Affairs Coalition Community Leadership Award, the Urban League of Philadelphia’s 11th Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Empowerment Community Leader Award, the 2012 Philadelphia Business Journal Minority Business Leader Award, and one of Philadelphia’s Most Influential African-American Leaders Award (2012, 2013, 2014) -

WHEREAS, Steven was also selected to take part in the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce CEO Access Network Program, and he is the recipient of the Economic Development Champion Award presented by

The Philadelphia Business Journal

. He was the recipient of the Fisk University 2015 Alumni Professional Achievement Award for Exemplary Professional Achievement and 2015 Frontiers International - Philadelphia Club Community Service Award; and

WHEREAS, Steven is a powerhouse civic and business leader who embodies Maternity Care Coalition’s Driving Fatherhood Community Leader award as an outstanding role model in both his personal and professional life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby recognizes and honors Steven Scott Bradley upon receiving Maternity Care Coalition’s 2019 Driving Fatherhood Community Leader Award for his commitment to community engagement, philanthropy, and mentorship.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Steven Scott Bradley as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body.
