Full Bill

WHEREAS, On November 12, 2015 City Council passed Bill No. 150708 introduced by Councilman David Oh, which created The Task Force on the Philadelphia Music Industry; and

WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Music Industry Task Force (MITF) considers the history of the music industry in Philadelphia, evaluates the current state of the music industry in Philadelphia, and develops a strategic plan for the re-establishment of Philadelphia as a center of the world music industry; and

WHEREAS, The Task Force has issued its Report and Recommendations; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby authorizes Council’s Committee on Global Opportunities and Creative/Innovative Economy to hold hearings regarding the adoption of the Music Industry Task Force Report and Recommendations.
