Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Renegades Organization was established by a group of disabled American veterans who wanted to make a positive impact in their communities; and

WHEREAS, The Renegades visit young men in various schools with the intent on mentoring and teaching them how to conduct themselves in school, in society, and at home; and

WHEREAS, The mantra of the Renegades is “save our sons, save our schools, save our seniors.” The organization accomplishes these important goals by focusing on three pillars: career development, character building and conflict resolution; and

WHEREAS, Members of the organization feel that if they can mentor and teach young men the importance of learning and mastering these three areas, they will obtain the tools necessary to become valuable assets to their communities, and successful and productive students in school; and

WHEREAS, The Renegades also work to aide senior citizens throughout the community. The organization educates seniors regarding individuals and organizations that can provide them with assistance, empowers seniors by helping to provide a platform to spread their knowledge and experiences, and entertains seniors by organizing outings and activities; and

WHEREAS, The work of the Renegades is extremely important to the growth and success of our communities, and should be recognized; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby recognizes and honors The Renegades Organization for their tireless pursuit in the mentorship of young men and assistance of senior citizens in communities across Philadelphia.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to The Renegades as further evidence of the sincere respect and admiration of this legislative body.
