WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 12-201 of the Public Education Supplement of The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter, the Mayor, with the advice and consent of a majority of all the members of the Council, shall appoint members of the Board of Education of the School District of Philadelphia from names submitted to him by the Educational Nominating Panel; and
WHEREAS, Mayor James F. Kenney has sought Council’s confirmation of the appointment of Cecilia Thompson to serve in a vacant seat on the Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the appointment of Cecilia Thompson to the Board of Education of the School District of Philadelphia, to serve in the term ending April 30, 2024, is hereby confirmed.
