THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Title 12 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows:

§ 12-922. Parking for Qualified School Employees.

(1)

The term Qualified School Employee shall mean an employee of Samuel Powel School (“Powel”), or Science Leadership Academy Middle School (“SLAMS”), located at 3610 Warren Street, that has been designated by the principal of Powel as an employee authorized to utilize School Parking.

(2)

Notwithstanding existing rules to the contrary, no person, other than a Qualified School Employee, shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on portions of the 3500 and 3400 blocks of Warren street, both sides, from 7 A.M to 4 P.M. where signs are erected giving notice thereof.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon placement of parking signage consistent with this Ordinance.
