Amending Section 17-111, entitled "Energy Efficiency and Environmental Design in Construction of Buildings," to update requirements and make technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.

AI summary

The enacted ordinance updates Philadelphia’s requirements for large City public works projects that can meet LEED standards and are funded mainly with City capital dollars. It replaces the required Silver-level LEED certification with Gold-level certification, assigns implementation and annual reporting duties to the Office of Sustainability, and allows exceptions when compliance would prevent the use of federal or state funding.
