Full Bill

WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia takes great pleasure in recognizing organizations that contribute to the benefit of their communities and ultimately all citizens of this region; and

WHEREAS, The Independence Blue Cross Foundation is a leading investor in health equity; and

WHEREAS, The Foundation has awarded more than $55 million since 2011 to improve the health and wellbeing of underserved communities across Southeastern Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, The Foundation’s collaborative efforts with over 230 organizations have impacted more than 300,000 lives; and

WHEREAS, The Foundation believes everyone deserves the opportunity to be healthy and well; and

WHEREAS, The Foundation’s Institute for Health Equity will enable individuals to achieve their full health and wellbeing potential; and

WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia is committed to the Independence Blue Cross Foundation’s mission; and

WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia salutes the tireless efforts of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation to advance health equity for all; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Philadelphia, Does hereby honor and congratulate the Independence Blue Cross Foundation on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to the Independence Blue Cross Foundation in recognition of the sincere sentiment of this legislative body.
