Full Bill

WHEREAS, In early 2020 Philadelphia Job Corps Student Government Association became disbanded due to the pandemic; and

WHEREAS, In striving to obtain their ranks amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought many challenges. Through their hard work, these young professionals have successfully surpassed their competitors' while remaining loyal, determined and dedicated young professionals and students; and

WHEREAS, They have become the first Philadelphia Job Corps Student Government Association Staff since the disbandment in the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, completed service projects, excelled in classes in their trades, maintained outstanding behavior and attendance, all qualifying them to run for office seats in the SGA; and

WHEREAS, Each of these individuals have worked, earnestly and cheerfully, every step of the long and arduous way; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Honors the Philadelphia Job Corps Student Government Association Staff President - Danika Graham, Vice President - Starr Ruckers, Treasurer - Tales Williams, and Secretary - Rameriah Cooper have earned the admiration and respect of this City Council as well as that of their peers, and we congratulate and commend them on an achievement of such magnitude.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That engrossed copies of this resolution be presented to Danika Graham, Starr Ruckers, Tales Williams, and Rameriah Cooper as an expression of the admiration and respect of this legislative body.
