WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia honors Jim Ridgeway, a lifelong resident of Harrowgate, and one of its most dedicated community members;
WHEREAS, Jim Ridgeway’s contributions to his community extend beyond clean-up efforts, as he also organizes the town watch, works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of community festivals, and actively participates in the 24th District PDAC;
WHEREAS, Jim Ridgeway’s commitment to community service is paralleled by his wife Beverly, who, alongside him, has raised their children in Harrowgate and instilled in them the values of active participation and community engagement;
WHEREAS, Jim Ridgeway’s daughters frequently accompany him to clean-up events and actively participate in community activities, with his daughter Tina following in his footsteps by serving on the civic board;
WHEREAS, Jim Ridgeway’s dedication as a father and grandfather further underscores his commitment to fostering a strong sense of community and civic responsibility among future generations; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Honors Jim Ridgeway for his exceptional contributions to the community of Harrowgate and beyond, recognizing his tireless efforts in making a positive impact on the lives of its residents.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this Resolution be presented to Jim Ridgeway, as a sign of the admiration and respect of this legislative body.
