Full Bill

WHEREAS, Local 692 won the 2024 Pennsylvania Pipe Trades Tournament, held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Delcastle Recreation Sports Center in Wilmington, Delaware, where 10 pipe trades locals participated in this year’s tournament; and

WHEREAS, The tournament featured teams made up of plumbers, steamfitters, and sprinkler fitters from across the region, showcasing their skills and teamwork; and

WHEREAS, Local 692's team of sprinkler fitters triumphed over Steamfitters Local 420 of Philadelphia in a hard-fought game, winning the championship by a score of 14-7; and

WHEREAS, Local 692 has a tradition of excellence in their field, representing Philadelphia’s pipe trades with distinction and bringing pride to their members and the community through their success in both their profession and competition; and

WHEREAS, The victorious Local 692 team members include J.P. Bradley, Brad Cohen, Christian Bergman, Shaun Clark, KaSheen Colson, Rich Masciarelli, Tim Bruckno, Nick Garofalo, Steve DiGiacomo, Mike McAndrews, Keith Dote, Keven Faber, Bryan Heino, Eric Valm, Timmy Cleary, Terrell, Joe Parker, Sean Smith, and Nick Van Allen, who all contributed to their success; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby recognize and congratulate Local 692 for their victory in the 2024 Pennsylvania Pipe Trades Tournament and commend the team for their achievement.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Local 692 as a symbol of the profound respect and admiration felt by this legislative body and the citizens of Philadelphia for their extraordinary work.
