This bill proposes a change to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter that would allow City employees to run for public office without having to quit their City job first. This change would affect City officers and employees who want to become candidates for public office. The proposed change will be put to a vote by the people of Philadelphia.

Proposing an amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter to eliminate the requirement that City officers and employees resign from their City office or employment before becoming candidates for public office; and providing for the submission of the amendment of the electors of Philadelphia.
