WHEREAS, Suzann Christine is a multi-album recording artist who has appeared on stage with acts as diverse as Mary J Blige, The Roots, DJ Khaled, and Patti LaBelle among others; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Christine has always seen the need for those who succeed in staying connected to their communities to reach back and lift up the next generation; and

WHEREAS, In addition to performing Suzann Christine has served as a mentor to countless young people in Philadelphia through groups like Grammy U, The Fly Star program, Pearls of Wisdom and many others; and

WHEREAS, In a career that has involved preeminent recordings, performances and events aplenty, years from now Suzann Christine may be best remembered for being a mentor to many, an ally after tough breaks and for always finding ways to give young and emerging artists as many chances as she could. now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Honors, the way Suzann Christine has chosen to live life and use her success to build more success in individuals, in Philadelphia and beyond.
