WHEREAS, The Office of Clean and Green, an initiative created by Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, has made extraordinary and historic strides by working tirelessly to improve the cleanliness and sustainability of Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a cleaner and greener City for all residents; and
WHEREAS, The Office of Clean and Green has played a pivotal role in clearing tires and illegal dumping sites throughout the City, addressing long-standing environmental issues and ensuring a safer, more pleasing environment; and
WHEREAS, The office has diligently worked to clean every block in the City, and returned to ensure that neighborhoods are well-maintained and sanitary; and
WHEREAS, Streets that have never been cleaned before are now receiving regular attention, illustrating the office’s commitment to ensuring that all areas of Philadelphia benefit from their services and resources; and
WHEREAS, The cleaning teams of the Office of Clean and Green have become invaluable partners to the Council Districts, supporting local efforts to maintain cleaner, more welcoming communities for residents and visitors alike; and
WHEREAS, The return of bulk pickups has further contributed to the City, providing residents with a means to dispose of large items in an environmentally responsible way; and
WHEREAS, The Office of Clean and Green’s ongoing contributions serve as a shining example of how dedicated public service can improve quality of life, reduce environmental hazards, and promote sustainability across the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby honors the Office of Clean and Green for their exceptional contributions toward a cleaner, greener Philadelphia, recognizing their tireless work in clearing tires and dumping sites, cleaning streets, addressing missed trash pickups, and returning bulk pickups to the community; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to the Office of Clean and Green as a token of the City Council’s admiration and appreciation for their continued dedication to enhancing the beauty and sustainability of Philadelphia.
