WHEREAS,
Guided by Coach Andrea Peterson and her dedicated staff, Assistant Coaches Darius Holman, Eric Scott, Gio Johnson, and Jabria Ingram. The Neumann-Goretti Saints Girls Basketball team battled until the final buzzer, defeating Lansdale Catholic 48-45 to capture their 6th PIAA State Championship at the Giant Center in Hershey PA on March 29, 2025;
and
WHEREAS,
This championship wasn’t won by just a few, it was a collective effort from the entire team. Whose depth, defense and determination pushed them to victory. Shoutout to the entire squad who contributed throughout the season. The team: Carryn Easley, Amya Scott, Kamora Berry, Zion Coston, Reginna Baker, Chrisette King, Haniyyah Morgan-Solis, London Thompson, Skylier Stewart, Milan Carr and Karleema Myers.

This wasn’t just a game, it was a test of heart, resilience, and determination. Facing a tough PCL rival, our Saints rose to the challenge, showcasing their teamwork, grit, and championship mentality to bring home yet another title! Every player contributed, every moment mattered, and in the end, the Saints stood tall once again; and
WHEREAS,
A couple of stats from this championship team: Carryn Easley - 1,000 pt scorer, 24/25 PCL MVP and 1st Team All Catholic (Playing at Fordham next year); Amya Scott - 1,000 pt scorer, 24/25 1st Team All Catholic (Playing at Delaware State next year); Kamora Berry - 2nd Team All Catholic, hit 99 3's this year; Reginna Baker - 1st Team All Catholic and is close to a 1,000 pts as a sophomore

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby congratulates and honors the Saints of the Neumann-Goretti girls basketball team on their
PIAA State Championship
win.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to
