THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

CHAPTER 14-500. OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICTS

§ 14-545. /WFS, West Fairmount Sports Area Overlay District

(1) Applicability.

(a)

The requirements of this /WFS, West Fairmount Sports Area Overlay District apply to all lots zoned SP-PO-A, Special Purpose - Parks and Open Space - Active that are located within the area bounded by Ford Road, Greenland Drive, the Schuylkill Expressway, Montgomery Drive, Belmont Mansion Drive, and Chamounix Drive, and notwithstanding all other applicable sections of this Code.

(2) Temporary Exemption Area.

(a)

Within the Temporary Exemption Area shown on the illustrative map below, the following exemptions shall apply:

(.1) The steep slope provisions of §14-704(2) (Steep Slope Protection) shall not apply.

(.2) The Heritage Tree removal provisions of §14-705(1)(f) (Preservation of Heritage Trees) shall not apply.

(.3) The fence height provisions of §14-706 (Fencing and Walls) shall not apply.

(3) Expiration.

(a)

The provisions of this /WFS, West Fairmount Sports Area Overlay District shall expire twelve months after it becomes law.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately.
