Full text

WHEREAS, Phileo Island LLC. is the owner of an approximately 2.54-acre parcel of land in Philadelphia County adjacent to the Philadelphia International Airport ("Property") known as 4521 Island Avenue;

WHEREAS, the City seeks to acquire the Property; now, therefore

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Director of the Department of Aviation is hereby authorized to acquire, on behalf of the City, fee simple title or a lesser real estate interest by purchase, amicable negotiation, dedication, donation, condemnation, agreement in lieu of condemnation or otherwise, a parcel of land in the area bounded by Penrose Avenue on the north, the Delaware Expressway on the east, Enterprise Avenue on the south, and Island Avenue on the west, known as 4521 Island Ave. in Philadelphia County, more specifically set forth in Exhibit “A”.

SECTION 2. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City of Philadelphia and carry out the purposes for this Ordinance.
