Full text

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution Nos. 240049 and 240585, the Council President, or a Councilmember designated by the Council President, shall have full authority to request the Law Department to represent City Council in appeals pertaining to decisions of the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment; and

WHEREAS, The Council intends, by this Resolution, to authorize Councilmember Gauthier to be an intervening party to such an appeal on its behalf and to ratify Councilmember Gauthier’s authority to intervene on an active appeal on behalf of and as representative of the Council; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Councilmember Jamie Gauthier has full authority to intervene in, on behalf of and as representative of this Council, the appeal of the decision of the Zoning Board of Adjustment with respect to 4283 Viola Street.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That this Council ratifies all steps taken to date by Councilmember Gauthier on behalf of and as representative of Council in preparation for intervention in said appeal.

FINALLY RESOLVED, That this Council authorizes Councilmember Gauthier to take all further steps on behalf of and as representative of Council with respect to said appeal as Councilmember Gauthier determines is appropriate for the successful intervention against the pending appeal, including, if necessary, any further appeals.
