WHEREAS, Tiffany Fletcher was a dedicated City of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation staff member, a devoted mother, and a beloved member of the Mill Creek community; and

WHEREAS, Tiffany was committed to creating safe, welcoming spaces for youth and families at the Mill Creek Recreation Center, where she worked to uplift and support her community; and

WHEREAS, Her life was tragically cut short on September 9, 2022, an act of violence that deeply impacted her family, coworkers, and neighbors throughout Mill Creek; and

WHEREAS, In recognition of her legacy, the Mill Creek Recreation Center was renamed in her honor in 2023, now serving as a revitalized space for youth, families, and community programming; and

WHEREAS, Tiffany Fletcher’s life continues to inspire resilience, unity, and a commitment to community safety, particularly in a neighborhood that remains dedicated to healing and preventing violence; and

WHEREAS, Also naming the Block of Brown Street between 46th and 48th Streets as “Tiffany Fletcher Way - Gone But Never Forgotten” would provide a lasting tribute to her life and ensure her legacy remains visible in the community she served; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the 4700 Block of Brown Street also be named “Tiffany Fletcher Way - Gone But Never Forgotten” in honor of her life, service, and enduring impact on the Mill Creek community.
