WHEREAS, Jaheim Warner, a junior at Tacony Academy Charter High School, demonstrated extraordinary courage and quick thinking when he encountered a Philadelphia citizen experience a medical emergency while alone in her vehicle; and

WHEREAS, Upon recognizing that the woman was unresponsive and in distress, he acted without hesitation by breaking the window of the vehicle, placing it in park, and ensuring the safety of both the driver and the surrounding community members; and

WHEREAS, Jaheim remained with the woman, offering reassurance and support until emergency responders arrived, actions which were critical in preventing further harm and potentially saving her life; and

WHEREAS, His bravery and selflessness reflect a deep sense of compassion and responsibility, embodying the highest ideals of public service and community care; and

WHEREAS, Within his school community, he is known as dependable, well-mannered, and always willing to help others, including contributing to the school’s morning announcements and assisting wherever needed; and

WHEREAS, Jaheim is actively involved in extracurricular activities including baseball, basketball, and soccer, demonstrating teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic; and

WHEREAS, A proud supporter of Philadelphia’s professional sports teams- including the Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers, Union, and Phillies- he exemplifies pride in his City and its community; and

WHEREAS, He aspires to continue serving others by pursuing a future in the fire service and joining the fire academy, further demonstrating his commitment to protecting and helping others; and

WHEREAS, Jaheim’s actions both in everyday life and in moments of crisis demonstrate integrity, leadership, and genuine commitment to others, making him a role model for youth across Philadelphia; now, therefore, be it.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby honors and recognizes Jaheim Warner for his heroic actions in saving a life, his dedication to service, and his exemplary character, and commends him for making a meaningful and lasting impact on his community.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this Resolution be presented to Jaheim Warner as a testament to their bravery and the sincere admiration of this legislative body.
