Full text

WHEREAS, SIR Philadelphia LLC is the owner of approximately 32 acres of land in Philadelphia County adjacent to the Philadelphia International Airport ("Property") more specifically described in Exhibit "A";

WHEREAS, the City seeks to acquire the Property; now, therefore

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION 1. The Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to acquire, on behalf of the City, fee simple title or a lesser interest by purchase, amicable negotiation, dedication, donation, condemnation, agreement in lieu of condemnation or otherwise, a portion of the property bounded by I-95 (the Delaware Expressway) to the south and east, by Bartram Avenue to the north and west, and by Island Avenue to the north and east, known as 8800 Tinicum Boulevard, more specifically described in Exhibit “A.”

SECTION 2. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, which instruments and documents shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City of Philadelphia and carry out the purposes for this Ordinance.
