WHEREAS, The 39th Police District of the Philadelphia Police Department serves the neighborhoods of East Falls, Nicetown, Tioga, and Hunting Park as part of the Northwest Police Division, providing critical public safety services and fostering trust between law enforcement and residents; and

WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Captain Dana Bradley, the officers and staff of the 39th Police District have demonstrated a commitment to protecting the lives, property, and well-being of the citizens of Philadelphia through professional policing, neighborhood outreach, and responsive community service; and

WHEREAS, The headquarters of the 39th Police District, located at 2201 West Hunting Park Avenue, operates as a 24-hour safe haven for residents, offering essential non-emergency services including the filing of police reports, access to accident reports, and support through Victim Assistance Officers; and

WHEREAS, The officers have strengthened community relations by overseeing regular Captain’s Town Hall meetings and participating in neighborhood engagement initiatives that encourage open dialogue, transparency, collaboration, and partnership between residents and law enforcement; and

WHEREAS, The officers of the 39th Police District consistently place themselves in harm’s way to preserve peace, uphold justice, and provide compassionate service to the diverse communities they protect; and

WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia recognizes that effective policing is built upon trust, communication, and dedicated public servants who work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all residents; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby honors Captain Dana Bradley and the officers of the 39th Police District for their service, leadership, and commitment to the safety and well-being of the people of Philadelphia.

FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this Resolution be presented to Captain Dana Bradley and the officers of the 39th Police District as evidence of the sincere respect and admiration of the Council of the City of Philadelphia.
