The enacted bill amends Philadelphia’s Public Employees Retirement Code to add the German American Police Association to the organizations that may receive deductions from a member’s, survivor’s, or beneficiary’s retirement benefits when directed in writing. It applies to people receiving benefits under the city’s public employees retirement system.

Amending Title 22 of the Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Employees Retirement Code," by amending Section 22-1303, entitled "Exemption from Attachment," to add the German American Police Association to the list of designated payees to whom a member may direct deductions from benefits payments, all under certain terms and conditions.
