AMENDED

This lapsed bill would have expanded Philadelphia’s smoking restrictions in public places and workplaces, including restaurants, stores, theaters, public transit areas, sports venues, and common areas of certain residential and lodging buildings. It would have allowed exceptions for places such as bars, specialty tobacco stores, some private functions and clubs, and specially separated smoking areas, while requiring employers and property managers to provide smoking policies and notices.

Amending Chapter 10-600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Places -- Prohibited Conduct," by prohibiting smoking in certain public places and in the workplace, with certain exceptions, and by repealing current provisions set forth in Section 10-602 regulating smoking; all under certain terms and conditions.
