This enacted measure amended Philadelphia’s Wage and Net Profits Tax by decreasing the rates applied to wages, salaries, and other compensation earned by Philadelphia residents and nonresidents working in the city. It also decreased the rates on net profits from businesses, professions, and other activities conducted by residents and nonresidents, with the new rates applying beginning in 2001 as specified in the law.
