The enacted bill amends Philadelphia’s zoning rules for G-2 Industrial Districts by removing several automobile-related uses from the list of uses allowed there. The removed uses include auto repair shops, automobile service stations, mechanical car washes, garages, parking lots, automobile sales lots and showrooms, and car rental businesses.
Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by amending Section 14-508, entitled "G-2" Industrial District, by deleting certain uses from the list of uses that are permitted in the "G-2" Industrial District, all under certain terms and conditions.
