This enacted ordinance grants RCN Telecom Services of Philadelphia, Inc., and its successors and agents, permission to build, operate, maintain, replace, and remove a telecommunications system in and along Philadelphia’s public rights-of-way and streets. The system may use or attach to facilities owned by other authorized companies, with those owners’ consent and subject to stated terms; the ordinance does not authorize RCN to provide cable service or video programming in the city.

Granting permission to RCN Telecom Services of Philadelphia, Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation, its successors, assigns and agents, to construct, maintain and operate, replace, and remove a telecommunications system along, over, in and under the public rights-of-way and City streets, by placing such telecommunications system within and/or attached to the existing facilities owned by Level 3 Communications, LLC, PECO Energy Company, Verizon Pennsylvania, Inc., and/or other entities authorized by other City ordinances, subject to such owner's consent; all under certain terms and conditions.
