The enacted bill amends Philadelphia’s tax code to authorize the School District of Philadelphia’s Board of Education to impose an annual tax on taxable real estate in the city. It restates the tax rates for years 1964 through 2004 and later in a table and says the change is not intended to alter any tax rates or other matters for any tax year.

Amending Section 19-1801 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Authorization of Tax," to further authorize the Board of Education of the School District of Philadelphia to impose a tax on real estate within the City of Philadelphia; and to restate the rates of taxation in tabular form; all under certain terms and conditions.
