This enacted measure amended Philadelphia’s rules for dance halls to prohibit pyrotechnic devices, fireworks, explosives, and similar materials inside those venues. Dance hall licensees must notify performers in writing about the ban and take appropriate steps to enforce it.

Amending Chapter 9-700 of The Philadelphia Code entitled "Amusement Businesses," by amending Section 9-703 to prohibit the use of pyrotechnic devices, fireworks, explosives or similar materials within dance halls; all under certain terms and conditions.
