City Council adopted a resolution proposing an amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter that would allow the Procurement Department to join cooperative purchasing arrangements with other public agencies for services, supplies, equipment, or construction. The arrangements would require a written agreement and a purchasing process comparable to the process otherwise required by the Charter; the proposed amendment would be submitted to Philadelphia voters on an election date set by ordinance.
Proposing an amendment to Section 8-200 of the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter providing for the use of cooperative purchasing agreements with other public agencies, and providing for the submission of the amendment to the electors of Philadelphia.
