This enacted ordinance authorizes the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to build and maintain an overhead pedestrian bridge about 260 feet long over University Avenue, between Curie Boulevard and Civic Center Boulevard. The bridge would connect the VA Nursing Home Care Unit with the VA Medical Center, and the VA must obtain required approvals, pay for related utility changes, and remove the bridge and restore the street if the City gives 180 days’ notice.
