The enacted ordinance grants Nirlesh C. Desai and C&N Newsstand permission to construct, use, and maintain a fiber-optic conduit under portions of the sidewalks around Sixteenth Street, John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and Cuthbert Street to provide telephone service to the newsstand. The owners must obtain required approvals, enter into an agreement with the City, provide a bond and insurance, pay for any utility changes, and restore affected public walkways; the permission expires if the requirements are not met within one year.

Granting permission to Nirlesh C. Desai and C&N Newsstand, owner and operator of the newsstand located on the northwest corner of Sixteenth street and John F. Kennedy boulevard, to construct, use and maintain a conduit for fiber optic facilities in and under the north footway of John F. Kennedy boulevard, the west footway of Sixteenth street and the south footway of Cuthbert street, for the purpose of supplying telephone service to said newsstand.
