The enacted measure repeals the existing rules on temporary signs and replaces them with rules covering signs such as banners, posters, stickers, and advertising flags. It generally prohibits posting signs on utility poles, streetlights, traffic or parking signs, historical markers, and public trees, while allowing signs on streetlights under the City’s Banner Program; violators may have signs removed and face removal costs plus a $75 penalty.

Repealing Chapter 10-1200 of The Philadelphia Code entitled "Posting of Temporary Signs" and adopting a new Chapter 10-1200, entitled "Posting of Signs."
