This enacted change to Philadelphia’s zoning code increases the allowed height of certain front-yard fences in residential districts from 3.5 feet to 4 feet, while keeping them no more than 50% opaque. It also allows fence posts and gate posts used as architectural embellishments to be up to 6 feet tall.
Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by increasing the permissible height for fences located on the front lot line of certain properties in residential districts; and by permitting certain architectural embellishments on fences; all under certain terms and conditions.
