This enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s parking tax to apply a 15% tax to valet parking transactions, in addition to covered parking-facility transactions. Valet parking operators must collect the tax from customers, keep required records, and follow requirements for claim checks and parking stickers; the change applies to transactions on or after July 1, 2005.
Amending Chapter 19-1200 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Parking Tax," to provide for a tax on valet parking transactions, under certain terms and conditions.
