The enacted ordinance grants Nancy Trachtenberg, owner of Benna’s Café at 1236 S. 8th Street, permission to operate a six-table open-air sidewalk café at the northwest corner of S. 8th and Wharton Streets. The café must leave at least eight feet of sidewalk clear for pedestrians, and Trachtenberg must obtain required permits, sign an agreement with the City, provide insurance and a bond, and remove the café within 30 days if lawfully notified by the Streets Department.
