This enacted amendment changed the effective date of an ordinance from December 31, 2005, to June 30, 2006. That ordinance provides that applicants who are delinquent on certain City or School District taxes, fees, charges, rents, claims, penalties, or fines cannot receive or renew licenses or permits required under Philadelphia’s building and occupancy code.

Amending Section 2 of an Ordinance (Bill No. 050204) approved June 2, 2005, entitled "An Ordinance amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled 'The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code,' by amending Subcode A, Section A-202, entitled 'Duties and Powers of the Code Official,' by providing that no license or permit required by Title 4 shall be issued or renewed if the applicant is delinquent in payment of any City or School District taxes, charges, fees, rents or claims, or is delinquent in the payment of certain penalties or fines, all under certain terms and conditions," by providing a different effective date than stated therein.
