The enacted bill gives Philadelphia’s consent to transfer the Area II cable television franchise from Time Warner Cable to Time Warner NY Cable LLC and then to Cable Holdco Exchange VI LLC. It also approves Comcast Corporation’s acquisition of control of the franchise, subject to required agreements for the new franchise holder and Comcast’s responsibilities under the franchise terms.

Consenting to the assignment of Area II cable television franchise from Time Warner Cable Inc. to Time Warner NY Cable LLC, to further assignment of such franchise from Time Warner NY Cable LLC to Cable Holdco Exchange VI LLC, and to change of control of such franchise from Time Warner Inc. to Comcast Corporation, all under certain terms and conditions.
