This enacted ordinance amended Philadelphia’s rules to prohibit smoking in public places and workplaces and provide penalties. It also changed related rules for sidewalk cafés, outdoor service areas, private clubs, specialty tobacco establishments, and drinking establishments, including raising the food-sales threshold for the drinking-establishment definition from 10% to 20%.

Amending Chapter 10-600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Places -- Prohibited Conduct," by prohibiting smoking in public places and in the workplace, and providing for penalties, all under certain terms and conditions.
