City Council adopted a resolution to submit a proposed Philadelphia Home Rule Charter amendment to voters on an election date set by ordinance. If approved by voters, the amendment would restrict licensed gaming facilities from being permitted within 1,500 feet of residentially zoned areas and specified residential, religious, school, park, playground, pool, and library uses, and would limit related licenses and permits from the Department of Licenses and Inspections.

Submitting to the electors of the City, on an election date to be designated by ordinance, an amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter relating to the location of licensed gaming facilities within the City, as proposed by a petition filed with the Council.
