This enacted measure requires owners of licensed residential rental properties to include the property’s housing inspection license number in rental advertisements and correspondence, including online ads and on-site signs. Listings that cover units in three or more properties may use the owner’s business privilege license number instead, and violations are subject to a $75 notice for each day the violation continues; the ordinance takes effect 30 days after enactment.

Amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code", by amending Subcode "PM" (The Philadelphia Property Maintenance Code), by requiring that any advertisement or correspondence pertaining to the rental of residential property shall include the housing inspection license number for such property, providing for penalties, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
