The enacted bill increases penalties for violating the City's rules on alcoholic beverages at City-owned recreation centers, playgrounds, and park areas, except Fairmount Park. A violation is a Class III offense and may result in fines, up to 90 days in prison, or both; the Philadelphia Police Department enforces these penalties.

Amending Chapter 10-600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Public Places-Prohibited Conduct," by amending Section 10-604, entitled "Alcoholic Beverages," by increasing penalties regarding alcoholic beverages in certain City-owned recreation centers, playgrounds and park areas, and making certain technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
